For William Kappen, music is, above all, a way to express love and community. As a child, he and his family
would gather to sing around the record player. In later years, he grew to lead worship at his local church.
His musical gift developed around the people and places he loved most. Today, he continues to lead others
into authentic, meaningful worship. It is his desire to give others the same deep connections to faith and love
that music has provided in his own life.

William's new album, Revolutionary Love, reflects the high priority he places on community: He wrote and recorded
the album with some of his closest friends. It was fulfilling to see how each person contributed different thoughts,
passions and perspectives in order to form songs of depth and meaning. His hope is that these songs will engage
listeners in a way that evokes positive change, forward movement, and the desire to commune with our Creator.

Two songs on Revolutionary Love, “Lost One” and “Luv Luvs,” sum up the album's theme of redemption through
relationships. “Lost One” is a song that speaks specifically to the wounded and broken places in our lives that leave
us feeling lost and forgotten. The depth and breadth of these feelings can be overwhelming. But this song speaks of
a God who chooses us in spite of those wounds and feelings of hopelessness. It’s a song about hope replacing despair.

In the difficult seasons of life we need love that is real and not fleeting. “Luv Luvs” is a song about tough love.
The lyrics explore the idea that love is more than just strong feelings for another person. Love is about breaking down
the walls of insulation we’ve built into our lives, and doing what’s best for others even when it hurts.

While creating music is one of William’s greatest passions, he is also motivated by seeing change take place in the lives of others.
He explains: “In my experience, God usually touches us through community. I am committed to the workings of the local church
and the redemption that takes place when the church community lives a life that reflects the revolutionary love of Jesus.”
